Thank you to everyone who came to show their support on Saturday! We had nearly 1000 people from the community participate in the celebration. Thank you to our volunteers for helping make the event a success! We are actively raising funds to seal the painting, we would invite you to give in support to protect this magnificent piece of art. Black United Fund of Oregon in collaboration with Vox Siren, an inter-sectional feminist creative change agency, and Art Uprising a social justice art focused organization have partnered with local artists Mehran Heard, known as EatCho and Jeremy Nichols, to design an iconic mural in the heart of the Alberta Arts District, measuring nearly 100 feet in length.
